Being a guest on a live radio show is quite an experience. No matter how much you prepare, nerves make you all queazy and dizzy. This clip is from my guest spot on a new show on Sunday mornings -from 11-1 on KSFO-560am, called Edible Escapes. The hosts made it as nice for me as possible, as I think they maybe still feeling a little nervous themselves! This is both of their first radio shows too, although they both have had long standing executive positions at KSFO. Edible Escapes focuses on the region's fantastic food, world-class wines, travel destinations and much more. Each week, local chefs, winemakers, farmers, authors and experts in their respective fields will keep you up to date on the latest happenings and trends in food and travel culture.
The 15 minutes flies by and when you are done, you have no idea what you said. There is a big microphone inches away from your mouth...and once a word comes out- it is on the air! Laurent admitted to being too nervous to even consider doing it, so he happily stayed at the kitchen preparing food for our hungry clients. So have a listen and enjoy. And be sure to tune in the show each Sunday. Obviously, they have famous and intriguing guests, like me, the founder of the bay area's premier in-home dining service, Jessie et Laurent!
